It has been reported by foreign media that Bridgestone Tire is voluntarily recalling 2900 Firestone FR710 and Champion Fuel Fighter tires in the United States.

According to the notice issued by the US national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA), 32 tires have been estimated to be defective. However Bridgestone started voluntarily to recall 2900 with an abundance of caution. Bridgestone said that the main issue was inconsistent rubber coverage over wire and could result in tread separation, and had safety risks.

The tires being recalled are Firestone FR710 tires with 205/65 R16 size, and Champion Fuel Fighter tires with R15 205/65 and 205/70 R15 size, produced from March 27,2016 to April 9, 2016. Bridgestone will notify the dealers and car owners of the recall and will replace tires free of charge. The owner can contact Bridgestone customer service.
