Cooper Tires (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. decided to invest 120 million yuan to build a molding production line.　
　　The project plans to build a workshop of 4,600 square meters, install 8 sets of three-drum tire building machine and 5 sets of R & D equipment. The purpose of building this new product line is to increase the production capacity of all steel tire semi-finished products.
　　Cooper Tires purchased 65% stake in Qingdao Geruida Rubber Co., Ltd. and converted it into joint venture enterprise in January of 2016.
　　This is another new factory in China after Cooper Tires (Kunshan), which will be the main production base of global truck tires of the company.
