The technology company Continental Group announced on March 6 that its R&D center in Chongqing was officially put into operation.
  The total investment of Chongqing R&D Center is 280 million yuan, and the first phase construction area is about 15,000 square meters. The operation of the new R&D center marks the increase of Continental's R&D base in China to 18.
  Continental's Chongqing R&D Center is dedicated to the development of automotive electronics products, including body and powertrain products and solutions, especially in the field of gateways, electric lockout systems, body controllers and transmission controllers.
  It is estimated that by the end of 2020, about 400 employees will carry out research and development work related to future travel.
