In order to enable the existing wastewater treatment facilities to meet the needs of the construction for the second phase project (with an annual output of 6 million passenger tires), Cooper Tire (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. plans to invest 7 million yuan to implement the reclaimed water reuse project, which is planned to be completed and put into production in April.
　　According to reports, the project aims to construct a set of reclaimed water reuse facilities using the open space in the northwest corner of the plant. At the same time, the existing production wastewater treatment facilities will be reconstructed, and the original wastewater collection pipelines and pipelines will be changed.
　　After the reconstruction, the wastewater treatment capacity of Cooper Tire is 300t/d, of which the treatment capacity of the reclaimed water reuse facility is 200t/d and the treatment capacity of the production wastewater treatment system is 100t/d.
　　It is understood that Cooper Tire (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. has a designed production capacity of 12 million cars and light truck radial tires per year.The first phase of the project (6 million pieces/year) was started in 2006, and the environmental protection acceptance was completed in April 2012.
　　In January 2017, in order to consolidate and expand the market share, Cooper Tire started the second phase of the project, reaching an annual output of 12 million tires.
