On December 30, 2016, Dongying Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology in Shandong province forwarded the 13th Five-Year Development Plan on industrial quality brand of Shandong province to its direct subordinate and relevant organizations at county and district.
 
　　According to the plan, there are 5 major tasks for tire industry: 
　　1. Popularize the process with automation, intelligentization and informatization; 
　　2. Improve product performance, environmental friendly and safe features, functional level; 
　　3. Accelerate new type of high performance fiber applications such as tire cord, profiled wire, carbon fiber and aramid fiber; 
　　4. Realize tire endurance, high tire retreading and high performance; 
　　5. Enhance tire brand value.
 
　　In addition, the plan calls for improving product quality, safety, reliability and practicability in the special-purposed synthetic rubber, graphene, carbon nanotubes and other advanced and cutting-edge new materials.
