Starbucks has recently launched a trial version of its NextGen Cup, which will trial use the Sustainable Cup selected in the "NextGen Cup" Challenge in selected stores.
The trial is a part of the "NextGen Cup" challenge and will use cups lined with biodegradable polysuccinic acid (BioPBS) plastic in some Starbucks stores in Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, New York and London. BioPBS lining allows the cup to be composted and recycled.
