The thermoplastic carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRTP), jointly developed by General Motors Corporation(GM) and Japan's Teijin Chemical, has been used by GM in its pickup truck parts and put into mass production. The model is the 2019 GMC Serra, which will be released this autumn. Carbon fiber reinforced plastic is used in the interior seats. This is the first time around the world. In the future, it is expected to be used in the field of automotive parts molding and reuse and the material will be more widely used.
