On March 16, after nearly seven years of unremitting research, Sinopec Yanshan company successfully produced metallocene polypropylene products. It is the first time that the successful development of metallocene polypropylene has been realized in China's industrialized continuous production facilities, which marks Sinopec Yanshan company has become the first metallocene polypropylene continuous production enterprise in China. 　　Compared with traditional catalysts, metallocene polypropylene products have better　appearance and transparency, lower volatile and precipitate content, which can be widely used in spinning, medical, food packaging and other fields. At present, only some large international petrochemical giants such as ExxonMobil, Basel, and Mitsui have truly commercialized metallocene polypropylene products. There is no successful precedent for domestic companies and formed a potential gap in metallocene polypropylene market. So this technology has become the key development direction of the international polypropylene industry.
　　The success of the trial production filled the gap in production of metallocene polypropylene and achieved zero breakthrough.
