Recently, the 863 project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Key Technology Research on Graphitization of Polyacrylonitrile Carbon Fibers" passed technical acceptance. The completion of this project marked the Chinese production of M55J high-strength high-modulus carbon fiber materials has achieved a completely localized preparation from the process to the equipment.
After three years of collaborative research on key technologies for the graphitization of polyacrylonitrile carbon fibers, the key technology of fiber preparation, fiber performance characterization technology, fiber application technology, and carbon fiber high-temperature graphitization equipment design and preparation technology were solved, and the requirements of the project assignment have been fulfilled. The performance index of carbon fiber and its composite materials is equivalent to that of imported M55J carbon fiber.
The high-tech center of the Ministry of Science and Technology organized an experts group to conduct technical acceptance of the project. The expert group believed that the technical level met the requirements of the mission statement and agreed to pass the acceptance.
