On July 23, 2018, Honeywell announced Jiangsu JiaRui Chemical Co., Ltd. would adopt the C3Oleflex ^TM technology of Honeywell UOP in its factory in Jiangsu province for producing polymerized grade propylene with a annual output of 450,000 tons.
　　The C3Oleflex technology of Honeywell UOP transformed propane into propylene by catalytic dehydrogenation. The technology is based on a platinum-alumina catalyst system with low energy consumption, low emissions and complete recyclability to minimize environmental impact. Compared to other technologies, it has lower production costs and higher return on investment. In addition, the technology uses a separate reaction and regeneration section to achieve steady-state operation, increasing operational flexibility, efficiency and reliability.
