Davis Standard, an extrusion technology company, has expanded its production capacity in Suzhou, China. Davis Standard (Suzhou) Plastic Packaging Machinery Co., Ltd. has added a 3,200 sqms facility near the existing workshop in Suzhou for control panel assembly operations and provides much-needed warehouse space. It is reported that this new project began operations at the end of April.　 　　Davis Standards said that the medical tubing and packaging sector remains a strong market for its technology throughout Asia. Medical tubing, extrusion coating and coextrusion applications sold to regional customers are manufactured in Suzhou; The assembly of electrical control panels, extruders and gearboxes is also taking place in Suzhou.
　　The on-site R&D facility is equipped with techniques for testing a range of soft and hard products, as well as FPVC tubing for intravenous and fluid delivery, such as microporous, multi-lumen, catheters, endotracheal tubes, bubble tubes and conical tubes.
　　Davis Standard recently added the DSX FLEX-PACK 300S to the lab for customer trials, a single-station extrusion and stratified line designed specifically for the Asian flexible packaging market.
