Introduction

On December 1, 2014, Prinx Chengshan Tire Company was formed as a joint-venture between Prinx Investment Company Ltd. (Hong Kong) and Chengshan Group (Mainland China). Prinx Chengshan has a long history of tire development. In 1976, sixty-seven hardworking, dedicated pioneers created the Chengshan Tire Company. Prinx Chengshan Tire Company is a modern enterprise focusing on tire research, tire development, tire testing, sales and marketing. The main plant is located in Rongcheng, a scenic coastal city with over 5,000 employees. Prinx Chengshan has an annual capacity of 15 million tires: 5 million units of radial truck and bus tires, 8 million units of passenger radial tires and 2 million units of bias tires. For producing the best tire, employees in the national level technology center, five national level laboratories and the postdoctoral workstation devote themselves to developing products with advanced technology to meet customers’ needs. Prinx Chengshan keeps “Green” in mind. In every part of operation—product development, production and logistics, protecting the environment and promoting the development of new energy and alternative technologies- “Green” is insisted such as minimizing energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission. Prinx Chengshan is dedicated to producing the high performance, high quality, and high value added products. In 1981, Chengshan designed its own dual-mold curing press and took its first step breakaway from the National Top 60 tire manufacturers. In 1988, Chengshan built China’s first domestic radial tire production line and built China’s largest radial tire production location with independent intellectual property rights and became one of the 24 best tire production enterprises. In 2004, Chengshan presented a new brand logo at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing which began the Era of Chengshan. At that time, Chengshan market value reached 4 billion RMB and Chengshan became the 3rd largest domestic enterprise receiving awards and honors including “China’s Famous Brand”, “China’s Famous Trademark”, and “Top 500 Brand”. In 2006, Chengshan and Cooper Tire and Rubber Company (U.S.) established a joint venture company—Cooper Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Company Ltd. (CCT). The brands of CCT, Chengshan, Austone and Fortune, are popular and sold into more than 130 countries and regions in the world.
